Initiative for voluntary climate protection.
Climate Austria offers companies and private individuals the opportunity to make a personal and voluntary contribution to climate protection. Following the clear commitment - first to avoid emissions yourself, then to reduce your own CO2 emissions and only then to offset the unavoidable emissions - Climate Austria carries out the offsetting and reduces CO2 emissions directly via high-quality national or international climate protection projects to at least the extent corresponding to the unavoidable emissions.
KPC's experts have been active in international climate protection since 2003. Since then, we have established ourselves as a point of contact for questions regarding international and EU-wide climate policy, the associated emissions trading market and international climate financing.
Since 2014, we have been supporting the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) - specifically by handling and monitoring the implementation of bilateral climate protection projects in developing countries as part of international climate financing.
In 2003, we were put in charge of managing the Austrian JI/CDM purchase program for CO2 certificates. Now that the purchase of CO2 emission certificates has been successfully completed, we are primarily taking care of management tasks for the existing project portfolio.

The "Climate Austria" initiative was launched in 2008 as a collaboration project between the Ministry of the Environment, Austrian Airlines, Vienna Airport, and KPC. Climate Austria offers companies as well as individuals the opportunity to make a personal and voluntary contribution to environmental protection. Your financial compensation depends on your individual CO2 emissions and goes directly to national or international climate protection projects.
